Paigum and environment:
Certainly, one of our priorities has always been to achieve, that our processes and our products took care of being as respectful as possible to our environment.
To assume such a position may look like a understatement, nevertheless, it is important to say that the technological complexity that assumption implies is important and it conditions in a way the industrial process of a company of our size which in turn has to deal with high-tech raw materials and production processes that include a certain level of technology.
PAIGUM implemented, quite a long time ago, a zero-pollution index system, which includes the systematic recycling of not only raw materials but also sub-products and products that are below the required standards. We also distill and recycle solvents and other oil derivates.
The industrial waste that is not susceptible of being re-processed is eliminated exclusively by means of a specialized plant. Toxic emissions to the atmosphere is minimum, considering that our productive processes are held at moderate temperatures, looking for the highest energetic efficiency, avoiding the release of contaminating gases. We also filter the air in our factories before releasing it.
As we say in page 21 of our CONDITIONS MANUAL, once applied by expert professionals and fully catalyzed, polyurethane materials have a high chemical inertia, which implies very low repercussion for the environment.
